The Los Altos Neighborhood Library will be closed for facility maintenance beginning Thursday, June 15 and is anticipated to reopen on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. This closure is needed to prepare the facility for a scheduled HVAC replacement project.

Digitized primary source collections of interest to students are available through Archives Unbound, Calisphere, and other resources in the Digital Library. Archives Unbound groups resources together by topic, making it easy to find useful documents. Calisphere draws on the incredible collections found at the various campuses of the University of California and other California institutions and organizations. Primary sources are just a few clicks away when you use the Digital Library.

Opposing Viewpoints, Archives Unbound, Calisphere, and others all can be found in the Digital Library and are free to use on any computer or mobile device inside or outside the libraries. A Long Beach Public Library card is required for some resources. Don’t have a LBPL card? It is easy to get one.
