Beach Streets: Pacific Ave

Release Date: 2019-04-18

It’s time for Beach Streets again!

Since 2014, Beach Streets has become one of the premiere events in our city. An exciting and free event for the whole family, Beach Streets turns our roads into an outdoor festival, complete with music, art, and lots of great food, and the chance to walk, bike, skate or scoot around our community, meeting new people and taking in all our city has to offer.

Long Beach has proudly hosted Beach Streets at least once, and sometimes twice, each year, and this April 27th is our first Pacific Avenue Beach Streets. It will extend all the way from 3rd street in the heart of Downtown up to Willow Ave. in the historic and unique Wrigley neighborhood and take in many interesting local shops, restaurants and galleries along the way, as well as special Beach Streets exhibits and performances.

The Blue Line replacement shuttle buses that normally run on Pacific Av. will be running on Long Beach Blvd. during Beach Streets. Our thanks to LA METRO for making this accommodation.

Beach Streets is truly one of my favorite local events, as it not only activates our neighborhoods and supports local businesses, it’s just a fun way to get out, be active, and connect with our neighbors.

You can learn more about Beach Streets, and see a complete map of the event, here.

See you on Saturday, April 27!
