As we continue to mourn the loss of Captain David Rosa from Monday's tragic event, I wanted to inform you about the public service being held this coming Tuesday. The Memorial Services for Long Beach Fire Captain David Rosa have been set for Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the arena located at the Long Beach Convention Center. The memorial services will be open to the public and will be followed immediately by a public reception also at the arena. Free parking will be provided.
Captain David Rosa was a well-respected fire fighter and 17-year veteran of the Long Beach Fire Department. He served as a mentor for many young adults, paramedics, and firefighters. He was dedicated to his faith, his family, and his profession. Captain Rosa’s tragic death has left us filled with grief and sadness. This loss is profound and has been felt by all members of his fire family and the community he served with dedication and distinction.
