Soccer in the LBC
Soccer in the LBC is a series of free events, fan experiences and cultural celebrations across Long Beach during this summer’s global soccer tournament. Partnering with Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy, the Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DTLBA), the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and more, the City is offering a wide variety of unforgettable programming and locally driven activations in neighborhoods across the city throughout the tournament.
From the group stage beginning June 11 to the final match on July 19, the City’s community-focused programming will highlight small businesses, community organizations and cultural partners while ensuring the economic and cultural benefits of the activations are shared across the city. Knockout Stages to Tournament Final: July 6 to July 19
Matches in the Park, July 6-18
The City is hosting a series of local soccer activations and match viewings at various parks throughout Long Beach, offering residents across the city chances to gather, connect and celebrate soccer in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. Download the map.
At each activation, fans can expect a community watch party with a live big-screen match viewing, as well as activities for youth and families hosted by the City’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine. Attendees are encouraged to:

Celebrate the Tournament Final at Beach Streets Kickin' It, July 19

Celebrate the tournament's final at Beach Streets, returning to the Downtown Long Beach area on Sunday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.!
Hosted by the City, presented by Metro and sponsored by the Port of Long Beach, Beach Streets embraces the active commuting lifestyle by opening streets and transforming them into safe, open areas for people to bike, walk and explore their neighborhood.
This year’s event will feature the longest event route yet and feature big screen watch parties of the tournament final and family-friendly soccer activities.

Here's what else you can expect at Beach Streets Kickin' It:
- The Kickin’ It Hub at Bixby Park: a big-screen watch party of the tournament final and other soccer activities; a Kids’ Zone, sponsored in part by Long Beach Airport, with soccer-themed inflatables, free face painting and more; food trucks and a beer garden; DJ performances before and after the match; and more.
- North Pine Hub (7th Street and Pine Avenue) and East Village Hub (Broadway between Long Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue): in partnership with Downtown Long Beach Alliance, a variety of entertainment will be featured.
- Fourth Street Hub (4th Street between Cherry and Junipero Avenues): in partnership with Fourth Street Business Improvement Association, the hub will feature a free big-screen viewing of the tournament final at the Art Theatre, as well as live music, activities for kids, a free bike valet and more.
- DJ performances at various locations along the route.
- Downtown Entertainment Zone (EZ) Sip location, hosted by Downtown Long Beach Alliance on The Promenade between 3rd Street and Broadway, where attendees can purchase beverages at local businesses and enjoy them within the zone.
