Are you looking for an outdoor location to hold a wedding, birthday party or company picnic? Under the umbrella of Parks, Recreation and Marine, the Marine Bureau offers a variety of picturesque locations. In the Downtown Shoreline area you can choose from the ever so popular Shoreline Park, Rainbow Lagoon or Marina Green, just to name a few.

The Long Beach shoreline area is home to the prestigious Toyota Grand Prix, Pride Celebration and the Long Beach Jazz Festival. A true plus for these parks is the fact that they can accommodate in excess of 15,000 people.Alcohol sales and noise variances may be approved with the proper permits

Head east across our seven miles of beautiful sandy oceanfront and you'll be in the Alamitos Bay and Naples area where you'll find Marina Park, a.k.a. Mothers' Beach, and Marine Stadium.

Mothers' Beach is the only location to offer grass, a sandy beach with playground equipment, and a swimming area all in one place. In addition it has volleyball poles, although you need to supply the net and ball, and there are tables for your convenience. Park hours are from 8a.m. to sunset.

Historical Marine Stadium was built for the 1932 Olympic rowing competition and was also the site for the 1968 Olympic rowing trials. When not being used by rowers, Marine Stadium is an extremely popular water skiing facility. The amenities include a sandy beach (no swimming), restrooms, picnic areas, boat launch ramps and ample parking. Marine Stadium is a great location to hold a company picnic or private party. Rental rates vary depending on the season and the day of the week. If you are interested in water-skiing, rowing or boat racing you'll find Marine Stadium a wonderful facility. Unfortunately, swimming is not permitted.
