Summer Food Program 2025

The City of Long Beach, Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine has sponsored the free Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) since 1979, serving more than two million meals to children and teens between the ages of 1-18. The program ensures that during summer school vacation, children will be able to receive the same well-balanced meals that they receive during the school year. SFSP for children is funded through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the California Department of Education.

Meals served in parks Monday-Friday from June 16 to August 22.
Meals served at Bret Hart and Brewitt Libraries Tuesday–Friday, June 17- August 8.
No lunches served June 19 and July 4.
