Administrative Operations Officer

Elisa Calderon was appointed as the Administrative Operations Officer in August 2026. As a member of the Police Department’s Executive Team, she provides critical administrative oversight and support, and plays an active role in Department planning, operations, and strategic initiatives.

Administrative Operations Officer Calderon brings more than 27 years of institutional knowledge and operational expertise with the City of Long Beach. She joined the City in 1998 as a Payroll Personnel Assistant, serving both the Police Department and Public Works Department. In 2006, she transferred to the Public Works Department as an Administrative Aide in Environmental Services, where she advanced to Recycling Specialist in 2013 and Administrative Analyst in 2019. In 2021, she returned to the Police Department as an Administrative Analyst in the Support Bureau, where she led military and departmental equipment acquisitions, established a department-wide asset management system, conducted analytical research including inmate recidivism analyses, and developed training materials, staffing analyses, and executive communications.

Administrative Operations Officer Calderon holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Studies from California State University, Long Beach.
