Glen Spencer
Forensic Services Administrator
Administrator Glen Spencer graduated from Crater High
School in Central Point, Oregon, in 1991, then attended
Southern Oregon University and received a Bachelor of
Science in Criminology in 1996. In 1997, he accepted a position with the Oregon State Police as an Evidence Technician and as a Latent Print Examiner in 2000. In 2003, Mr. Spencer became the first Latent Print Examiner in Oregon State Police to be fully qualified in crime scene analysis. In 2004, after further education, he progressed to the Forensic Scientist classification.
In 2008, Mr. Spencer was promoted to Forensic Supervisor at the Portland-Metro Forensic Laboratory for Oregon State Police. He was responsible for the supervision of 14 to 16 employees in the Latent Print, Firearms/IBIS and Questioned Document Sections.
From 2005 through 2009, Mr. Spencer was a volunteer firefighter and EMT-I for the Junction City Fire Department and the Canby Fire Department. He returned to school to obtain EMT-B and EMT-I certifications, which afforded him the ability to treat patients at a level below paramedic. During his tenure, he was recognized as Rookie of the Year and Firefighter of the Year by Junction City. He also served as president of the Junction City Volunteer Firefighters Association.
In 2014, Mr. Spencer joined the Long Beach Police Department as the Administrator of
the Forensic Science Services Division.
