Julie Bedard
Administrative Operations Officer
Julie Bedard currently serves as the Administrative Operations Officer for the Long Beach Police Department, assigned to the Office of the Chief of Police. As a part of the Department’s Executive Team, she takes an active role in Department planning and operations.
Julie joined the Department in 1993 as a Clerk Typist II in the Community Relations Division. In 1995, she promoted to Clerk Typist III working in the Office of the Chief of Police and in 1997 was appointed as the Executive Secretary to the Chief of Police. Julie served for one year as the Executive Secretary to the Assistant City Manager, before leaving the City in 2006 to pursue a private sector business opportunity. In 2012, she returned to the Police Department as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Police before promoting to Administrative Operations Officer.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
