On July 1, 2025, at-risk missing person Lee Ruth Bouma Bowley was located safe and unharmed in the City of Los Alamitos. LBPD transported her home and reunited her with family.

The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help locating an 82-year-old at-risk missing person, Lee Ruth Bouma Bowley who was last seen on July 1, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m.
On July 1, 2025 at approximately 10:00 a.m., at-risk missing person Lee Ruth Bouma Bowley was last seen leaving her residence near the 7800 block of East Spring Street. She is believed to be on foot, and her destination is unknown.
At-risk missing person Lee Ruth Bouma Bowley is described as follows:
Age: 82 years old
Gender: Female
Race: White
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 100 lbs.
Hair: White
Eyes: Gray/Brown
Clothing: Gray sweatshirt with southwestern style bull skull on the front, gray sweatpants, and gray sandals
Medical Alerts: Suffers from mental condition(s) and may become disoriented
