On April 7, 2016, a felony charge was filed against 41 year-old Los Angeles resident Urbin Lee Miller for his involvement in a robbery in the City of Long Beach.
On March 2, 2016, an unsuspecting business owner was walking in the area of Pine Avenue and Third Street when the suspect approached him. The suspect grabbed the victim’s bag, taking his money, and fled the location on foot. Fortunately, the victim was not injured.
While detectives were investigating the robbery, they scoured the area for surveillance cameras. Detectives viewed a significant amount of video footage, which led them to the suspect.
On March 23, 2016, detectives located and arrested the suspect in the 1900 block of Pasadena Avenue. The suspect’s bail was set at $100,000 and on March 24th, the suspect posted bail.
On April 4, 2016, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for review. Defendant Miller was charged with one count of robbery. His next scheduled court date is April 12, 2016, in Department 1.
