Collision Investigation detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect responsible for a hit-and-run traffic collision that occurred on July 17, 2024 that resulted in moderate injuries to two pedestrians.
Preliminary investigation indicates officers responded to the intersection of East 4th Street and St. Louis Avenue regarding an injury hit-and-run traffic collision.
Upon arrival, officers located two pedestrians who were injured from a traffic collision. Officers provided first aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and transported the victims to a local hospital with moderate, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates two pedestrians were crossing the street, in a marked crosswalk, when a vehicle, collided with them and fled the scene without stopping. The vehicle is described as a white, newer model Kia, 4-door, with a license plate ending in 243.
