The Long Beach Police Department is kicking off our annual Toy Patrol activities for the 2024 holiday season and is seeking toy donations.

Toys collected through our Toy Patrol efforts are hand-delivered to families in need across the city by police personnel. Many of the families who receive gifts through the Toy Patrol program are those with whom officers have come into contact through their daily calls for service, and many of whom are victims of crime. This includes families that receive services through the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center, a local non-profit dedicated to providing advocacy, outreach, education, and evidence-based services to survivors of trauma and their families.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our community, businesses, and individuals to partner with us to help make these families’ holiday season special. We are only able to do this through the generous support of employees, individuals, and businesses who donate toys to the program. No City funds are used to purchase gifts for this program.

Toys for all ages are welcome, including items for teenagers. Great gifts include toys, games, books, school supplies, sports equipment, and gift cards to retail stores. All donated items must be new and unwrapped and can be dropped off at marked boxes at any of the below locations.

The deadline for toy drop-offs is December 15.
