Homicide detectives have made an arrest regarding the June 19, 2024 murder of Myriam Zaragoza.
Through their investigation, Homicide detectives identified the suspect as Timothy Campbell, a 35-year-old resident of Los Angeles. On June 24, 2024, he was arrested in the City of Los Angeles by Special Investigation Division detectives and transported to Long Beach City Jail where he was booked for murder. Bail was set at $2,000,000.
Detectives determined the victim and suspect were in a dating relationship. The motive is still under investigation; however, the incident is believed to be domestic violence.
Detectives will present the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.

Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of a female adult.
On June 19, 2024, at approximately, 3:25 p.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Locust Avenue to assist the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) with a female adult in full arrest.
Upon arrival, officers found a female adult victim with gunshot wounds to her upper body. LBFD personnel determined the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate the incident. The motive for the shooting and circumstances of the incident are still under investigation.
The victim has been identified as Myriam Zaragoza, a 43-year-old resident of Long Beach.
