Collision Investigation detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on April 11, 2026, resulting in the death of a male adult. 

At approximately 5:03 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Pacific Coast Highway regarding an injury traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a parked vehicle. 

Upon arrival, officers located a male adult motorcyclist. Long Beach Fire Department rendered medical aid and transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 2013 Triumph Motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Pacific Coast Highway at a high rate of speed when the motorist lost control and collided with a vehicle parked on the south curb of Pacific Coast Highway.

The identity of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner’s office.
