Collision Investigation Detail detectives are investigating a traffic collision that occurred on June 9, 2025 which resulted in the death of a male adult.
At approximately 12:25 a.m., officers responded to the area of 7th Street and Margo Avenue regarding an injury traffic collision involving a single vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers found a single vehicle collided with a wall. Long Beach Fire Department responded and determined the driver to be deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on 7th Street at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, colliding with a wall.
Speed is being investigated as a potential factor in this collision.
The identity of the adult male driver is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
