Collision Investigation Detail detectives are investigating a traffic collision that occurred on Sunday, June 22, 2025 which resulted in the death of a female adult.

At approximately 2:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Studebaker Road and Los Santos Drive regarding a collision involving two vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers located a female adult driver in her vehicle suffering from major injuries. Personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department arrived on-scene and determined the female adult deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2015 Toyota Corolla, driven by an 86-year-old resident of Long Beach, was traveling westbound on Los Santos Drive when it came to a stop past the designated stop sign and was in the lanes of Studebaker Road. A 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 45- year-old resident of Long Beach, was traveling northbound on Studebaker Road and struck the Toyota Corolla in the intersection. The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado remained on-scene and cooperated with the investigation prior to being transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

At this time speed, distracted driving, and impaired driving are not being considered as contributing factors in the collision.

The deceased female adult driver's identification is being withheld pending confirmation and notification of the next of kin by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.
