Collision Investigation detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Nov. 11, 2025, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 10th Street and Orange Avenue regarding an injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and multiple other vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious male in the driver's seat of a black 2000 Honda Accord. Long Beach Fire Department personnel provided medical aid and transported the driver to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates a black 2023 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 36-year-old resident of Long Beach, was traveling eastbound on 10th Street when a black 2000 Honda Accord attempted to make a U-turn from the south curb, and the Nissan Rogue struck the driver’s side of the Honda Accord.

The driver of the Nissan Rogue remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation.

At this time, distracted driving and driving under the influence are not considered to be contributing factors in the collision.

The identity of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
