Annual Street Maintenance Project Will Close Southern Terminus of 710 Freeway on Sunday Morning

On Sunday March 15, 2015, the southern terminus of the Long Beach (710) Freeway will be closed below Anaheim Street from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm so crews can complete street maintenance during an annual maintenance project.
Signs will inform motorist of detours, as the following ramps will be closed:
- Southbound 710 Downtown off-ramps that access 6th Street, Broadway and Golden Avenue exits
- Northbound 710 on-ramps from Shoreline Drive, Ocean Boulevard, 3rd Street and 7th Street
Harbor Scenic Drive will not be affected by the closure.
The project on Sunday will supplement the maintenance work that is done throughout the year, and will focus on street repairs; traffic signs and lights; pavement markings; tree trimming; graffiti removal; landscape maintenance and improvements; guard rail maintenance; and street sweeping.
