After listening to input and concerns regarding metering on 4th Street, the City of Long Beach, working with the Fourth Street Business Improvement District, has modified the planned 4th Street Parking Meter Zone.

The multi-space parking meter zone boundaries now encompasses a smaller area. The updated zone will fall within Hermosa Avenue and Junipero Avenue.

Additionally, Councilmember Jeannine Pearce’s Office will bring an item for the City Council’s consideration tomorrow, Dec. 10, to reduce the multi-space meter hours of enforcement to 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, excluding holidays.

Implementation of the Fourth Street Parking Meter Zone is scheduled to go into effect on Friday, January 3, 2020.
