Long Beach, CA – The City of Long Beach, in partnership with the Long Beach City College Office of Workforce Development, will host a career fair at the Long Beach City College Pacific Coast Campus (1305 E. Pacific Coast Highway). The career fair, open to current LBCC students and the general public, will feature a variety of career paths from over 10 City departments and will take place on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in GG Building, Room 238.

“This is a great opportunity for job seekers of all skill levels and stages in their career to meet with City staff and learn about all of the incredible employment opportunities available with the City of Long Beach,” said Mayor Rex Richardson. “I encourage folks to come join us at this upcoming career fair, hosted in partnership with our friends at Long Beach City College.”

At the career fair, attendees can browse information booths hosted by City departments and learn about the various job opportunities available. Positions range from entry-level to professional or highly skilled. Participating City departments include:

  • Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Communications
  • Long Beach Fire Department
  • Long Beach Police Department
  • Long Beach Utilities Department
  • Parks, Recreation and Marine
  • Civil Service, Recruitment and Outreach Services
  • Community Development, Code Enforcement
  • Financial Management, Administration Division and Fleet Services Division
  • Health and Human Services, Housing Authority
  • Port of Long Beach, Harbor Security
  • Human Resources

Application assistance workshops will also be available at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to registered participants.

Free parking will be available in Parking Lot 2, located off Orange and Alamitos Avenues. GG Building is located just south of Alamitos Avenue.
