City of Long Beach Updates COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Schedule for September with Some Extended Hours

Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is continuing to offer free vaccines six days a week and free testing seven days a week with extended hours in some locations starting on September 13, 2021. More than 75% of the City’s currently eligible population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and the Department of Health and Human Services (Health Department) wants to ensure vaccines and testing remain accessible to all.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Schedule
  • Long Beach City College, Pacific Coast Campus (PCC), Parking Lot 1, at the corner of Orange Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway, Mondays - Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave.), Mondays - Wednesdays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m, Thursdays - Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Cabrillo High School (2001 Santa Fe Ave.), Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  •  CSULB (Long Beach State), 1250 Bellflower Blvd. (near bookstore) - Mondays and Wednesdays, noon to 3 p.m.

COVID-19 Testing Clinic Schedule

  • Long Beach City College, Veterans Stadium (5000 E. Lew Davis Dr.), Mondays - Fridays, 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave.), Mondays - Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • Cabrillo High School (2001 Santa Fe Ave.), Saturdays and Sundays, 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • CSULB (Long Beach State), 1250 Bellflower Blvd. (near bookstore) - Mondays and Wednesdays, noon to 3 p.m.

The City continues to encourage community members to get the COVID-19 vaccine. For information about the City’s vaccination locations and hours of operation, visit longbeach.gov/vaxlb, email Covid19Vaccine@longbeach.gov or call 562.570.INFO (4636). Appointments are not required, but people interested in scheduling an appointment may do so by visiting the State’s vaccination portal, MyTurn.ca.gov, or by calling the Vaccine Information Line at 562.570.4636.
 
All vaccines are administered free of charge and have been provided directly by the federal government. No identification is needed to make an appointment or to be seen without an appointment.
 
People also should get tested if any symptoms are present or if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status. Testing for COVID-19 is offered seven days a week. Appointments are preferred, but not required. To make an appointment to get tested, please visit longbeach.gov/covid19testing or call 562.570.4636.

More than 370,800 vaccines have been administered in Long Beach to date. The City continues to have the capacity to vaccinate people who are in need of a vaccine and is able to vaccinate up to 3,000 people weekly. Identification is not required to receive a vaccine. As of September 9, there have been 62,209 COVID-19 cases in Long Beach and 992 people have died from the virus.
