Long Beach, CA - The Long Beach Public Library (LBPL) mobile app has moved to a new platform, making searching the LBPL catalog, placing holds, and checking accounts even easier.
“Long Beach Public Library’s mobile app is getting some major updates, making it even easier to use and more accessible for our residents,” said Mayor Robert Garcia.
With the updated mobile app, people can take the Library with them wherever they go, and have direct access to the LBPL mobile website to make reservations for Tech To-Go and LBPL To-Go services, among other amenities. To help users with the transition, LBPL has created a video tour of the new app, available on the LBPL website, to walk users through all of the new features and familiarize them with the new look.
The mobile app is available for download from the App Store or Google Play. Users who have the old app version downloaded to their device will automatically be switched to the new version.
“We are especially excited about the new features this updated app offers,” said Long Beach Public Library Director Glenda Williams. “Users now have the ability to switch the language from English to Spanish, access our eBooks and eAudio books more easily, and scan the ISBN barcode on the back of a book to see if the library has a copy.”
