Long Beach, CA – Beginning Friday, August 5, the Department of Health and Human Services (Health Department) COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 6 months to 5 years old, currently located at the Main Health Facility, will relocate all operations to Cabrillo High School.

Since the pediatric COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Main Health first opened on June 24, nearly 1,000 vaccines for children between 6 months and 5 years old have been administered.

The pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Cabrillo High School will be located at 2100-2198 Monitor Ave. and will include a child-friendly space to accommodate children ages 6 months to 5 years old. Vaccines will be offered to this age group on:

  • Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Vaccines for this young age group will not be offered at any other City-run COVID-19 vaccination site. Families that include people with disabilities, access or functional needs, or underlying health conditions who are not able to travel to this vaccination site can request mobile vaccination at longbeach.gov/COVID19MobileVaccination or by calling 562.570.4636.

The Health Department continues to urge everyone to get vaccinated and boosted when eligible, as it remains the single best way to protect yourself and those around you against COVID-19. Vaccines are safe and effective in reducing the likelihood of contracting COVID-19 and preventing hospitalization, serious illness or death among breakthrough cases of the virus.
