2021 Digital Inclusion Trailblazer Recognition

In 2021, the City was one of 17 jurisdictions in the nation recognized as a 2021 Digital Inclusion Trailblazer by the NDIA. This is a national honor roll of local government initiatives that promote digital literacy and Broadband access for underserved residents. This is the third year that the City of Long Beach has been recognized.

2020 Charles Benton Digital Equity Champion Award

In 2020, City staff received the Charles Benton Digital Equity Champion Award presented by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA). This national award recognizes outstanding leadership and dedication in advancing digital equity.

CAPIO Award

2019 California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) Award of Distinction

In 2019, the City received the 2019 CAPIO Award of Distinction for the 2018 International Digital Inclusion Week (IDIW) Social Media Engagement Campaign under the Social Media Campaign category. These awards are presented annually by the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) to honor outstanding public agency information and communications programs.
