Veterans Park Roof Replacement

Latest Updates - July 2023

The City’s Contractor, Goodmen Roofing Construction, is scheduled to begin construction in the area in August 2023 with a scheduled completion, barring weather or other unforeseen delays, by October 2023.

The contractor is scheduled to perform work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Parking impacts for residents is not expected. Efforts will be made to minimize inconveniences and minimize construction activities during scheduled park sports activities. 

The contractor encourages park patrons to keep children away from the construction areas and activities.

Project Funding

This project is currently supported by Measure A. Measure A is a Long Beach ballot initiative approved by voters in 2016 as a 10-year sales tax to fund public infrastructure and public safety services and was extended indefinitely by voters in 2020.
