Long Beach City Manager Patrick H. West and Police Chief Robert Luna today announced the appointment of Jason S. Campbell as Administration Bureau Chief of the
Long Beach Police Department. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Braden Phillips.
“I welcome Administration Bureau Chief Jason Campbell to the Police Department,” said Chief Robert Luna. “His extensive education, work history and legal background will be a great addition to the executive team.”
Bureau Chief Campbell most recently served as Executive Officer of the California Board of Podiatric Medicine. Previously he was employed by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), where he served as a Senior Ethics Officer, Acting Principal Hearing Officer and Customer Communication Manager. Prior to the MTA, he was a compliance officer for the City of Los Angeles Office of Finance, and also an attorney in private practice.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Long Beach Police Department and advancing our mission of
Public Safety Through Partnerships,” said Bureau Chief Campbell. “To that end, I look forward to building relationships with community members throughout Long Beach.”
The Administration Bureau is responsible for managing the Police Department's fleet; records; information technology; personnel and payroll services; Business Desk operations; Live Scan services; Media Relations Detail; and volunteer opportunities.
