911 Texting Will Give Victims, Witnesses Another Option For Help 11/30/2017 On November 30, CBS Los Angeles came to the Department 9-1-1 Dispatch Center to report a story on our new text to 9-1-1 capability.

text to 9-1-1 comes to Long Beach December 1st 11/30/2017 Beginning December 1 2017, hearing and speech-impaired residents of Long Beach and those in situations where it is too dangerous to dial 9-1-1 for help in an emergency, can Text to 9-1-1.
