Latest Updates - November 2023
The 605 Freeway Sound Wall Project is nearing completion as substantial construction has been concluded. Irrigation and other finishing touches are currently in progress.
The City’s Contractor began street construction in the area in mid-2023, with a scheduled completion, barring weather or other unforeseen delays, in mid-2024. The work takes place on:
- I-605 Northbound, from Coyote Creek to Spring Street.
The contractor is scheduled to perform work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The contractor encourages residents to:
- Keep away from the construction activities

Project Information
Improvements are coming to the I-605 Northbound Freeway between Coyote Creek and Spring Street. This approximately 880 foot long project along the edge of the I-605 Northbound Freeway Shoulder will consist of the construction of a new 14' tall sound wall to diffuse freeway noise, drainage work, landscaping, and other appurtenant work.

This project is currently being supported by Metro grant funds.
