Background
The Silverado Park Signature Playground will feature new, inclusive play equipment and site furnishings, designed with accessible pathways and ADA-compliant amenities. The playground will encourage sensory, physical, and imaginative play, with two distinct areas for preschoolers (ages 2–5) and school-age children (ages 5–12). Inspired by the park’s mural We Are the Seeds by Mer Young, the design will reflect its vibrant colors and theme.
Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2025, pending weather or unforeseen delays.
This project is part of the Elevate ’28 Infrastructure Investment Plan, a historic initiative dedicated to enhancing Long Beach parks, community facilities, mobility access, and streets. Learn more at lbelevate28.com.
