Electric Vehicle Charger Giveaway Program

The City of Long Beach is launching an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger Giveaway Program as part of the new expedited permitting process for electric vehicle charging stations. Beginning January 9, 2017, the City will be distributing 270 EV chargers free of cost to eligible Long Beach residents who own or lease an electric vehicle. ![]()

The Harbor Department provides sponsorship funds to local groups for community functions and events to help inform residents about the Port of Long Beach. The second and final call for 2016-17 applications will end of March 31, 2017. The next call, for early 2017-18, will be September 1 - 30, 2017.
Recycle Holiday Trees

There are two easy ways to recycle your holiday tree in Long Beach. Drop your tree off at one of 12 locations throughout the city. Free drop-off locations will be available December 26 - January 6. M-F: 9 am - 5 pm | Sat & Sun 9 am - 2pm.
If you have City refuse service, put your holiday tree out where your trash is normally collected by 7 am on Saturday, January 9, and it will be recycled. ![]()

Winter Concert Series 2015

Councilman Supernaw is hosting a Winter Concert Series to kick off the holiday season. Bring your family and friends to "Little Whaley Park" on Sunday, December 6th from 2 - 5 pm. There will be live performances by the Shoreline Symphonic Winds and the CSULB True Brass Band. Hot chocolate will be provided by the Local 372 Firefighter Association!
