ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) Program connects early childhood providers and families in Long Beach with mental health resources, guidance, and supportive services to promote young children's social-emotional well-being. In partnership with community-based organizations, the program strengthens the local network of care through:
- Professional development and consultation for early childhood professionals
- Referrals to mental health and community resources
- Caregiver engagement tools to support children at home
The ECMH Program emphasizes early identification of mental health needs and ensures families have the tools to foster safe, stable, and nurturing environments where children can thrive.
