Arrest and Firearm Recovery – 1400 block of Lemon Avenue - On July 11, 2024, at approximately 6:33 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Lemon Avenue regarding a report of a male adult who was unconscious in a vehicle with a gun on his lap. Upon arrival, officers attempted to contact the suspect and de-escalate the incident. After refusing to cooperate with officers’ orders to exit the vehicle, officers deployed a 40mm less-lethal round which was unsuccessful and after deploying a K9 unit, the suspect was arrested. Officers recovered the firearm. He was taken to a local hospital for medical clearance for non-life-threatening injuries to his upper and lower body ahead of booking. The suspect has been identified as Anthony Michael Rosado, a 41-year-old resident of Los Angeles County, who was booked on one count of prohibited possessor in possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, driving under the influence, and grand theft auto. Bail was set at $200,000. The investigation is ongoing.
