Under City ordinance, medical marijuana businesses—including dispensaries, cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and laboratory testing—are allowed to operate in Long Beach by meeting several requirements. Medical marijuana businesses must be issued a City of Long Beach business license prior to operating, as well as a State license under the Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act.
