FY 2025 Annual Action Plan
(October 1, 2024 - September 30, 2025)

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 4 p.m., The Long Beach Community Investment Company will
conduct a public hearing at Long Beach City Hall, 411 W. Ocean Blvd., 2nd Floor Conference Room,
Long Beach, CA 90802.

The community is invited to participate in a public hearing and provide input on the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Action Plan on March 20, 2024.

The FY 2022-2023 CAPER describes the City of Long Beach’s affordable housing and community development activities carried out from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.

Review draft Substantial Amendments to the City's FY 2022 and FY 2023 Action Plans and have your voice heard at The Long Beach Community Investment Company's upcoming public hearing on Nov. 15.

Review and provide input on the City's Pathways to Removing Obstacles (PRO Housing) Application through Oct. 24.

Eligible homeowners can receive up to $20,000 in grant funding for the rehabilitation or replacement of their home roof.

Eligible applicants can receive up to $20,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance for first-time home purchase.

The Department is seeking to award up to $5 million to qualified housing developers for the production of affordable rental housing in the city.

The community is invited to attend a public hearing on the Consolidated Plan at The Long Beach Community Investment Company (LBCIC)  meeting on Wednesday, April 20 at 4 p.m.

Beginning on July 1, 2021, Long Beach is required by law to enforce the 2019 Intervening Code Adoption Cycle approved by the California Building Standards Commission. All projects submitted on or before December 31, 2019, must comply with the new requirements.

The City is now accepting online applications for a priority registration list for non-primary residence short-term rentals (STR), as allowed under a recently enacted Ordinance adopted by the Long Beach City Council.

City council voted to allow registration of non-primary residences for STR operations, as well as un-hosted stays.

The workshop will take place on August 27 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m and will discuss abandoned oil/gas wells and methane gas mitigation.

The City Council took new action to further extend an emergency ordinance that temporarily halts evictions for residential and certain commercial tenants.

The application period for the program has closed. Applications are no longer being accepted. 

The City has developed new guidelines for drive-through facilities to address development impacts, operational elements, site and built design elements, and safety.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 4:00 PM, The Long Beach Community Investment Company (CIC) will conduct a Public Hearing in the Beach Conference Room on the 2nd Floor of City Hall at 411 West Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach.
